I am a filmmaker, media artist and musician. My work applies phenomenological methods in search of
emancipatory artistic forms. My thesis film in the Master’s programme at Moholy-Nagy University
of Art and Design, Mária Kerényi, 41, July 1970 has been presented in the exhibition Re:Re: Artistic
Re-Enactments / The Art of Re-Enactment at Modem Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art, then
got limited distribution in Hungarian cinemas. As a freelancer I worked in camera departments and as
a cinematographer for ten years, while pursuing my studies. Under the moniker Zanzinger I released
two albums and toured in Europe extensively. Throughout this time I worked on numerous artists’
tours and releases as the co-founder of Lone Waltz Records. I started my doctoral studies in 2023 and
started offering lectures shortly after. I research and teach contemporary formalisms in film with an
emphasis on their roots in film cultures affected by western colonisation. At the moment I’m working
on my second feature and my doctoral dissertation. In my spare time I’m enjoying the company of my
friends, family and our cats. I also like reading, running, writing songs and poems and taking care of plants.
